Research & Analysis

The process of developing an idea can be daunting and overwhelming.  We have developed a research process tha can be used to expand the sources of content and information used in product ideation.  Our focus is on defining research objectives, creating early hypotheses and creating models that can be used to make decisions and drive requirements into development.

During the research process we conduct:

  • Literature reviews: with the objective of establishing a baseline of what is available today and coming in the near future.

  • Examine real world solutions: to see what others in the market are building, promoting and selling.

  • Undertake interviews and workshops: with experts in the field to broaden the information and assumption base that we are working with.  Clients also have access to our pre-defined artefacts to make the collection and management of information from workshops and interviews much more straight forward and actionable.

  • Analyse sources of data: from a variety of disparate and often not obvious sources.  Managing by fact is essential to a maintaining meaningful targets and measures.

  • and a variety of other sourcing techniques including crowdsourcing, and challenge driven innovation processes

From this point we undertake a process of identifying relevant materials, conducting experiments that test our hypothesis and updating our models.  These intern drive improvements in the conceptualisation of product solutions, design of products and provide the basis for prototyping.

Additionally Lividia also has a product set and process set that our customers can use to assist with the development and identification of new ideas and requirements.
