Regional Innovation

Anyone who tours regional centres in Australia, England and elsewhere will see a level of economic decline in most towns and small cities. There are of course exceptions to this rule, but on the whole our regional communities are in decline.
Many of these communities have relied on government sectors, labour driven industries (such as agriculture) and tourism to thrive. In the near future technology is likely to drive dramatic improvements in per person productivity within these industries - which will in turn mean even less jobs for individuals in these communities.
However technology can also play a role in the rejuvenation of these regional towns and cities. We are looking for solutions to these regional problems that are grounded in reality, future proof and forward thinking. We would love to speak with folks from regional Queensland that share our concerns and have ideas for the future of our regional communities !
